Revive and Thrive programs create meaningful, joyful and restorative experiences with individuals living with memory challenges and dementia and their care partners through innovative programming engaging the whole person - body, mind, and spirit. We also provide caregiver/care partner consultation and coaching for those supporting loved ones including spouses, partners, adult children, other family and friends, professionals and communities.

Our Beginning

Revive and Thrive began when founder, Emily Kearns, saw the potential in persons living with memory challenges and dementia and their care partners to experience joy and renewal through meaningful, restorative, small group activities. She researched and discovered evidence-supported programming that engages the whole person - body, mind, and spirit through music, movement, storytelling, healing touch, games, and more. When she began to create safe, slower spaces for such engagement at cafes, YMCAs, and retreat centers to listen deeply and to invite the whole person to engage, she was delightfully surprised and profoundly moved to see who showed up — a whole person eager to engage and to celebrate the joy of being!

“Creating and holding a safe space for joyful presence and engagement isn’t rocket science. Slowing down, in community, we welcome and invite our whole being to simply show up and be celebrated!”

The Revive and Thrive retreat was a treat!  As a care partner I really needed a place to relax, to get away and to find camaraderie with people who understand.  The experience was fun (indoor and outdoor) and informative -- complete with "strategies for survival" to help my sometimes topsy-turvy life right now.  The program was varied with both active and reflective parts of the day.  I recommend you try it!

My husband, Bob, and myself, recently attended a day long retreat, Revive and Thrive…the day included an engaging range of activities, among them: music, storytelling, and reiki, geared to those with dementia and their caretakers. Emily and her assistants created an inclusive, respectful, and perfectly paced program that put all of us at ease. We highly recommend this experience, and look forward to attending the next retreat.
